When in Catral, we dine at Belmontes. Super value for money. We have tried Breakfast, snacks, evening meal and the Sunday roast special. We have always enjoyed the food, the people and the overall general atmosphere. A nice little gem in the heart of Catral. We personally give it a 10/10 Highly recommended :-)

Been in many times for breakfast and coffees. It's great and nice and cool. It's also good for watching what is going on in the square around the bonny church.

We've been twice here now , and both occasions we've been impressed with the food. Would recommend salmon and avocado toastadas, and home made burger in a bun with fresh salad and fries....not at the same time though!

Had a fab time with my family. 6 of us from grandparents down to grandchildren. We couldn’t have been looked after any better from managing to find a table for us even though they were really busy. They were friendly and accommodating and we all had lovely meals and the drinks were great. Would definitely recommend to pay them a visit. Only serve food until 8pm on Tuesday and Thursday so if you want an evening meal then make sure you visit them on those days but open for food every day until 2pm . Set in the beautiful square with the clock bells ringing. Very atmospheric. Hope they continue to have a thriving business they deserve it due to the effort they put into making us feel welcomed. Thankyou

I came here because I saw a particular Breakfast Special on Facebook weeks ago and fancied trying it. I didn't arrive until after 2pm and asked if there was any chance of having the Guacamole, Salmon and Poached eggs on top of a toasted half baguette. The chef confirmed it was no problem even though they stopped serving Breakfast at 12 noon. I had the large and I was not disappointed. There was plenty of everything and the Poached egg's were cooked to perfection. I had a cafe con leche and again, good coffee with foamy milk, served hot but not too hot to "burn" the coffee. Well done "Belmontes", good to see the place is in good hands. I'll be back again soon.

Visited as part of Tapas Route. I had cottage pie, which I enjoyed, but a little more would have been better. My partner had the bread with mushrooms and spinach with cheese sauce and pine nuts. The mushrooms couldve done with a little more seasoning. The service was great and the location is lovely with stunning trees outside the front door.
